It’s not your grandmother’s amaryllis.

An Amaryllis is an amaryllis is an amaryllis, right?

Not so, my friends from Holland tell me. It seems that over the last couple of years, the hybridizers there have been on a mission to bring all kinds of new and beautiful amaryllis hybrids to market, and if what we’re seeing this year is any indication, they’ve succeeded big time!  This one is called “Neon Rose”, and as you can see, it’s not just an incredible new color, but the bulb also produces multiple flower stems–and by the way, it costs no more than the tired old favorites.  Look for all kinds of new beauties in our Amaryllis selection for this fall!  There are new doubles, the elegant newer ones with skinny, starry petals, even one called “Moonlight” that’s lime green.  They’re all on sale at half price right now.
