Gardening in August
Although August can bring the last few weeks of sunshine and warmth for some of us, it is also a crucial planting month for gardeners across the country. August is one of the best times to plant Bearded Iris to establish them before the colder months and bloom that coming spring. August is also the time to plant Fall-Flowering Crocus for gorgeous, late color in your garden when most other plants have faded.
