Cut Away!
One of the greatest rewards of a garden bursting in blooms is being able to cut a few of your favorites to bring inside for a gorgeous summer bouquet, or to give to a lucky friend. Those who can’t seem to have enough fresh flowers should consider planting a cut flower garden – It makes cutting blooms guilt-free!

Have Winter Blues? Think Spring Blues!
Although some claim that there can never be a true “blue” flower, gardeners and growers have worked to come as close to blue as the human eye can tell. Blue flowers illuminate in the sunlight and provide a striking, contrasting statement with their green foliage. In the spirit of planning for spring, I have highlighted some of my favorite blue flowers to try this season.

Understanding Your Hardiness Zone
One of the most common questions our gardening team receives is, “Which hardiness zone am I?” This question is extremely important for many reasons; it is the first step in understanding what, and when, to plant in your area.

The joys of planning your spring garden
Our Advanced Sale started today, which made me (gleefully) start thinking about what I am going to do in my garden this spring. My garden is a new space for me and has plenty of beautiful Daylilies, Peonies, Astilbe, Hosta, and other perennials that were graciously planted by the resident before me. This spring, I want to make the garden my own and try as many different varieties of plants as possible.
