It’s Time to Sow Wildflowers!

For gardeners in the northern regions of the country, now is the time to sow your wildflowers! I garden in a zone 5 and just finished planting all of my fall bulbs. This weekend I am going to finish the process by sprinkling our All Annual Mixture on top of the bed.

One of their objectives was to create a habitat for attracting butterflies and there is no better way that with a wildflower meadow. Coincidentally, we sell a lot of seed to churches [...]

Anyone seen a Titleist in here?

I love this time of year as I begin to get calls and photos with updates on wildflower meadows around the country. Over the next few weeks, I thought I would share a few favorites that I’ll be updating throughout the season! About 10 years ago I received a call from Jeff Brown, owner of [...]

Caveat emptor – The Best way to spend $9.95!

I was attending a lecture recently from a botany professor at the local university. My ears perked when the topic of wildflowers came up. He showed some slides, talked about some ideas for incorporating wildflowers into landscapes and then proceeded to tell people to look for, “those meadows in a can”. Boy was I really [...]
